Editorial policy

• A fact is only recorded when it comes from a source a reader can open: the clinic’s own website, its Google Business Profile, a public register, or a published price list.
• Each verified criterion is stored with the source URL used to verify it.
• Private communication, hearsay, anonymous tips and marketing claims that cannot be checked are not scored, however plausible they seem.

1. A clinic record is created with identity details only — name, area, address, phone.
2. An editor works through each criterion and marks it verified only against a source.
3. The record stays unpublished until an editor approves it. Nothing appears in a public ranking before that step.
4. Scores are computed by the formula from the stored evidence. Editors never type in a score.

A criterion that cannot be verified earns zero points and is shown as not publicly verified. We never assume a clinic offers something because similar clinics do, and we never fill a gap to make a profile look complete. This means a low score usually indicates low public disclosure, not poor dentistry — a limitation we state on every ranking page.

When sources disagree, we prefer the clinic’s own current published statement over third-party listings, and the more recently updated source over the older one. If the conflict cannot be resolved, the criterion is left unverified and the discrepancy is noted against the record rather than silently resolved in either direction.

Every clinic profile shows the date its evidence was last checked. Records are re-checked on a rolling basis, and immediately when a correction is received or a clinic changes something material such as its price list, hours or website.
